SBS Modified Bitumen Waterproofing Membrane

This product is a high-performance waterproofing membrane with a coating layer of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) thermoplastic elastomer-modified bitumen and a polyester base as reinforcement, covered on both sides with release materials. Combining the elasticity of rubber with the durability of bitumen, it exhibits excellent high and low-temperature resistance, making it an ideal material for building waterproofing.

Application Scope

Item	Description
Suitable For	Roofs, basements, tunnels, bridges in industrial and civil buildings; especially suitable for cold regions and projects with large structural deformation.

Construction Process

Step	Description
Base Treatment	The base should be flat, solid, clean, and dry.
Additional Layer	Lay additional layers at joints in advance.
Laying Methods	Hot-melt: heat the membrane bottom with a flame torch until the bitumen melts, then roll it; Cold-adhesive: apply using a special adhesive.
Overlap Treatment	Long edge overlap ≥100mm, short edge overlap ≥150mm; seams should be tightly pressed.

Transportation & Storage

Item	Description
Storage Conditions	Different types and specifications should be stored separately. Avoid sunlight and rain, ensure ventilation. Storage temperature ≤50℃. Stand storage single layer only; prevent impact, tilting, or lateral pressure during transport.
Shelf Life	Under normal storage and transport conditions, 1 year from the production date.

Precautions

Construction Environment	Hot-melt method is not suitable below 5℃.
